When the Mazda CX-90 first came out, we felt like a PHEV family three row SUV was an intriguiing idea, but there were a few flaws. The main problem with the Mazda CX-90 was the odd transmission behavior at low speeds. For 2026, Mazda seems to have mostly solved that issue, making the CX-90 a very compelling family three row SUV.
