In this video I cover my full driving impressions and review of the 2024-2026 Lexus GX550 Luxury SUV. The Lexus GX was all new for 2024 and shares it’s platform with the Toyota Land Cruiser. It uses an entirely different powertrain, a 3.4l Twin Turbo V6, borrowed from the Toyota Tundra. The Lexus GX offers much of the same off road hardware and capability as the Land Cruiser (Specifically in Overland trims) but even the standard full time 4WD setup is very robust. The Lexus GX feels like the complete package within their lineup given the capabilities with the main downsides being fuel economy. If you’re looking for a do everything SUV, the Lexus GX may be hard to beat assuming you don’t need the 3rd row. Let me know your thoughts below!
