Toyota Noah, Voxy, Esquire (R80W, 2014) wipers

2014年1月に発売された3世代目のノアです。トヨタの販売チャンネルに応じてヴォクシーとエスクァイアの商品名でも販売しました。
SUVやミニバンはフロントガラスに対して座る位置が高めなので、ワイパーは法規に対応するためガラスの上側の拭き取りを重視する必要があり、セダンやハッチバックに比べて「運転席前の扇形」と「助手席前の三角形」が大きい傾向があります。
5ナンバーの「ユーティリティミニバン」と呼ばれる3車＝トヨタ「ノア」、日産「セレナ」、Honda「ステップWGN」は、外形もパッケージングも非常に近似しているので、拭き残しも近似しています。
見比べてみて下さい。

This is the 3rd generation Toyota Noah, which released in January 2014 in Japan. They ware also sold under the names of Voxy and Esquire, depending on Japanese Toyota’s sales channels.
Since SUVs and minivans sit higher than the front windshield, the wipers need to focus on wiping the upper side of the front windshield, in order to comply with each regulations.
And compared to sedans and hatchbacks, “Fan-shaped unwiped area in front of the driver seat” and “Triangle unwiped area in front of the passenger seat” tends to be large.
3 cars called “5 number, utility minivan” =Toyota Noah, Nissan Serena, Honda Step WGN, are very similar in appearance and packaging, so the unwiped area is also similar.
